Following my Intercordia experience in Bosnia (2006), I returned home with
so many overwhelming feelings and I wanted to share them with everyone I knew.

Following my Intercordia experience in Bosnia (2006), I returned home with so many overwhelming feelings and I wanted to share them with everyone I knew. I felt like I’d grown and changed so dramatically, but the only people that understood my feelings were the individuals I’d traveled with. It took some time, but I realized that I couldn’t expect anyone else to understand because it was my personal experience. I changed my course of studies when I returned home from English to Social Work, and am now a support worker. The generosity and kindness I was shown in Bosnia by my host family and community was so special to me and I still keep in touch with my friends around the world!
