Intercordia Alumni Gives Parliament a Message
Brigette DePape (Bosnia 2009) makes a strong point during the Throne Speech in parliament.
Brigette DePape, who spent the summer of 2009 in Bosnia with the Intercordia Canada Program, recently made a bold protest during the most recent Throne Speech. She is a Page in the Canadian Parliament and during the speech she held up a sign which read “Stop Harper” and was immediately evicted from the proceedings and fired from her job. She wrote an articulate piece for the Toronto Star explaining her action and the responses she has received.
