How the relationship affects the other person.

It is incredible how quickly amazing relationships can form with people who barely know each other. For me, like I have mentioned in my previous entry, this relationship is with my hostmom. Through our various, and many, conversations we have learned about each other, about our cultures, struggles and successes, stories of laughter and stories of sadness. These precious moments allowed for an incredible bond that will last for a lifetime. We can relate to each other, we can understand each other. From everything that she has done for me, from everything she has shared with me, I feel like that our relationship affected her in definitely a positive way. She has told me herself that she needed someone just to talk, just have someone listed to what she has to say.
One day she has asked me to teach her and other 14 women on how to use a computer and email. She wanted to stay connected with me and the people she has met through this program. Also she wanted to learn more about Canada and my native country. She was very excited at this opportunity.
All in all, this woman is incredible and very courageous. Our relationship has allowed both of us to open and create a strong bond. I hope that her life is full of amazing stories and discoveries and cannot wait to see her again one day!
