International Partners

Intercordia Canada is partnered with small, grassroots NGOs in countries in Central and South America, The Carribean, Ukraine, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Africa. We are constantly expanding our placements to provide our participants with unique opportunities to discover the beauty of people who are different.

Each international partnership is staffed by local people who know the country and the culture well and are able to assist newcomers to find their way. Their task is to provide, on behalf of Intercordia, a safe and challenging opportunity for participants to get to know the host country. They are responsible to:

Welcome the students upon arrival and provide a brief orientation to the country and culture
Arrange a home stay with a local family
Arrange a work placement opportunity where students can use their talents and offer support to people in need
Provide ongoing support during the placement and assist with any emergency needs
Remain in contact with Intercordia Canada during the placement time
Animate a debriefing session at the conclusion of the placement
