Educational

bullet A student in good academic standing who is attending a university that has a partnership with Intercordia Canada.

bullet Willing to undertake the course and seminar work specified by Intercordia Canada and your University in order to obtain the credits offered.


Personal

bullet To be 18 to 30 years of age (Intercordia Canada will assess student’s maturity level to ensure fruitful participation in the program)

bullet To be in a state of physical and mental health that will allow one to live positively in a challenging environment.

bullet Preferably the student has a background working or volunteering in community settings. (Youth Groups; Summer Camps: School Councils, Sports teams etc. Or to have related experiences),
       which would foster the following attributes:

bullet Knowledge in team dynamics

bullet Leadership Skills

bullet People skills - listening, empathy, openness to others

bullet Ability to deal maturely with ambiguity

bullet To have a sense of service and compassion

bullet To desire academic, personal and social development

bullet To be adventurous

bullet To have initiative

bullet To be able to carry responsibility

bullet To be able to work with supervisors (authority)

bullet To be open to participate in, and respect foreign, cultural and family traditions
